Collectible Solutions

Why buy a different program for everything you collect?  SoftBase/Collectors Edition lets you store a virtually unlimited number of items in its database.  But rather than lump all your treasured collectibles together in a jumbled mess, you can organize them into their own unique catalogs.

Catalogs can be thought of as drawers in a giant filing cabinet, with one drawer for each kind of collectible.  You can even have sub-catalogs--like having a set of folders within each drawer.  For example, you can have a book catalog, or you can have catalogs for fiction, mystery and humor.  And just as with the number of items in your database, you can have a virtually unlimited number of catalogs.  The exact number of items and catalogs is limited only by the amount of disk space you have.

The table below lists the collection catalogs that are included with SoftBase/Collectors Edition, along with some examples of the kinds of collectibles that can be stored in each.

New collection catalogs are being added all the time.  But it's also easy to create your own.  With just a few clicks of your mouse you can create a catalog with generic data entry screens, or you can create a catalog that is based on an existing one--giving your new collection catalog all of the custom field names and field positions of the existing catalog!

Create New Catalog

The picture above shows how easy it is to create a new catalog.  Just type in a name for the catalog, select an existing (or the default) catalog to base the new catalog on, click Create, and you're done!
